Using sex just to grab attention

?????????????????DOES ADVERTISING TODAY RELY TOO MUCH ON SEX AS AN ELEMENT OF PERSUASION?

I think that ads definitely cross the line when it comes to sex. Women are constantly flaunting around in a sexy fashion just so it grabs the attention of men. I find this to be a cheap idea and it isn’t right that women have to sell themselves so that a product will sell.

I think the ads are just trying too hard. A lot of them think that sex sells and it is necessary but I just think it is in bad taste.

Yes, I do think that for the most part that advertising does rely too much on sex as an element of persuasion. Sometimes it is funny, I must admit, but but they are taking it too far. It seems that sex is the biggest way to persuade in advertising now which is sickening. Some ads do cross the line in good taste, such as the one we saw yesterday for Panty Liners. And women are always portrayed as the bad ones.
