Too much emphasis on sex to persuade

DOES ADVERTISING TODAY RELY TOO MUCH ON SEX AS AN ELEMENT OF PERSUASION?
I find that advertising in today’s media uses a lot of sex as a method of persuasions. Almost every ad we looked at yesterday in class was using sex as a way to sell the product. However, I do not find that today’s advertising relies on sex to sell because a lot of ads use comedy and facts to sell most things. And myself, I find that when an ad crosses the line is usually in good taste because it is funny.

I think they do. Due to the fact that sex is all they use to sell things, it’s all you ever see in ads.

Yes, I think is sex appeal were to be removed, most advertisements would be a huge fail. Absolutely they cross the line for good taste. I think that if you need to trash talk your rival company in your ad to gain buyers, then it crossed the line.
