DOES ADVERTISING TODAY RELY TOO MUCH ON SEX AS AN ELEMENT OF PERSUASION?
I believe sex does use up far too much of our ads. It is very effective tactic of persuasion, but it starts with a sex driven society. In India the ads are not at all sexually oriented and never would even consider a sexual ad.
No I don’t think they rely too much on sex as the element of persuasion. I agree that they use it, but those ads are mainly focused on things for men and not so much for women. So really there isn’t an over use in sex for persuasion.
