annoying_adDOES ADVERTISING TODAY RELY TOO MUCH ON SEX AS AN ELEMENT OF PERSUASION?

I do believe that advertising companies use a lot of sex in their adverts. You can pretty much look anywhere now a days and see some kind of sexual message being told. There have been a few times when ad companies have pushed it too far, where it makes you want to turn away from the product instead of being drawn towards it.

I believe that our society relies too much on sex as a focal point, so much so that its hard to see where lines are crossed because the medias moral codes are blurred quite extensively.
I suppose some of the ads cross the line of good taste, but I wouldn’t say it’s good. The fact that we as people have become so sexually engrossed is sort of primal and disappointing.
