Cool is a commonly used term that is everlasting. The media feeds us what they want us to believe is what we like, trying to make it cool. Although cool really is more of a personal opinion or approval of anything. This means it can vary from person to person, and often creates groups of friends with similar ideals on what they find cool. These people will not all have the exact same feelings towards everything though; they may find football cool but one of them doesn’t like to party because being in the large crowd is too much for them. This shows opposing ideals on parties being cool or not.
Personally, I believe a person’s thoughts behind “what is cool” are the building blocks of their life. If someone finds long boarding cool, it’s what they will do in their free time, if they like metal music, they will listen to metal. People don’t want to spend their time doing something they don’t find cool. So we spend our lives finding out what we like and work around that, exploring our deepest interests of the world and what it has to offer. This is what I believe cool is.
